Simon and Garfunkel cancel Fargo show, tour
The July 11 show, which was a makeup date for the original May date, has been postponed again, this time indefinitely.
A news release issued late Thursday afternoon said singer Art Garfunkel’s vocal problems have persisted and the entire tour was shelved. While his doctors expect him to make a full recovery, a timetable is unpredictable.
The release included a statement from Garfunkel: “I do feel bad about disrupting so many people’s plans but, as I continue to mend, I can’t yet bring my ‘A game’ to a tour, and I would not perform for you with anything less.”
Tickets for the July 11 Fargodome show can be refunded at the point of purchase.
The group played on the North Dakota State University campus in 1966.
