Southern Minnesota trucker indicted on child porn chargesMINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A trucker from southern Minnesota is accused of taking a child on interstate trucking trips for the purpose of sex, and using the victim to produce child pornography.
Forty-three-year-old Kenneth Leon Wilcox of Truman is charged with 10 counts in a federal indictment unsealed Thursday.
The indictment says Wilcox transported the child for illegal sexual activity on five occasions from October 2007 to March 2008, and induced and coerced the child to engage in sexually explicit conduct, which he recorded with an eight-millimeter video camera.
The alleged incidents occurred in Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.
Wilcox's phone number is disconnected and it's not immediately clear if he has an attorney. He faces up to life in prison if convicted on the most serious charges.
Prosecutors say this is a case of alleged human trafficking.
