Sex offender in jail for failing to registerA moderate-risk sex offender who was evicted from his Fargo residence is now serving time in jail for failing to register with police.
George Maurel Carroll was living at 703 12th St. N. in Fargo before he was evicted. He then began staying at 731 Main Ave. W. in West Fargo.
According to Fargo police, Carroll failed to register his new address with police in Fargo or West Fargo.
West Fargo police arrested Carroll for failing to register, and he is in the Cass County Jail.
When he is released from jail, Carroll will be required to register his new address.
Carroll was convicted in Clay County in 2000 for second-degree criminal sexual conduct. His victim was a female acquaintance under the age of 15.
