We’ll pay again for flawed policyRep. Collin Peterson’s, D-Minn., current push for water-retention monies as a solution to our unprecedented flooding problem is, of course, right on the money. The reason being this addresses the cause (drainage) and not just the effect (flooding).
How ironic, though, that one of those who helped in the past disastrous management of watershed is now receiving kudos for efforts to only return to square one. We have finally had to come full circle due to Mother Nature’s response to our tragic drainage policy, and it is our tax dollars that again will pay for it.
