Fire at Target Field causes some water damage

MINNEAPOLIS — A fire has caused some water damage at Target Field.

Fire and Twins officials say a gas-powered pressure washer caught fire in a concourse.

Assistant Chief Cherie Penn says the automated sprinkler system mostly extinguished the fire by the time crews arrived, but left a mess behind.

The fire was reported shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday. No one was injured. There was no game in progress, but dozens of people were there for Justin Morneau's annual "Casino Night," a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation.

Twins spokesman Kevin Smith calls the damage minor. He says it will be cleaned up Monday, and there should be no disruption to Tuesday's game.
