Judge says Lindsay Lohan violated court order, issues new arrest warrant
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel made the announcement after a hastily called session in her chambers with the prosecutor and Lohan's attorney Tuesday afternoon.
The hearing was called after the alcohol-detection device on Lohan's ankle sent a report indicating the presence of alcohol late Sunday after the MTV Movie Awards.
The judge in court, however, did not specify how Lohan violated the court order given May 24.
Revel doubled Lohan's bail from $100,000 to $200,000 pending a July 6 hearing on whether she violated the terms of her probation in a 2007 driving-under-the-influence arrest.
Lohan is expected to surrender to authorities Wednesday and be released on bail.
The ankle monitor issues an alert when it is tampered with or when the person wearing it drinks alcohol.
