Police investigate report of downtown muggingA 25-year-old Fargo man told police he was mugged early Thursday in downtown Fargo by a man who said the victim owed him money.
The strong-arm robbery was reported at 2:04 a.m. at 1100 1st Ave. N.
The victim told police he was walking home when he was approached by two men. One of the men kept walking, but the other said the victim owed him money, Fargo police Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
The victim took off running and was caught and pushed to the ground. The suspect went through his pockets and took his money, he told police.
Lykken said the relationship between the suspect and victim wasn’t yet known.
The victim wasn’t injured. He described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 28 to 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with short black hair, unknown facial hair and wearing a black
T-shirt and blue jeans.
