Germans from Russia annual convention set

BISMARCK – The Germans from Russia Heritage Society’s annual convention will be July 21-25 at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center here.

The convention is open to the public and includes meals, entertainment and tours as well as workshops on the history, genealogy and culture of the Germans from Russia.

Among the topics are reports on the oral history and letter archive projects, cooking ideas, computers, genealogy books, and presentations about the Hutterites, Bessarabian and Black Sea Germans.

Keynote speaker will be Al Neuharth, a native of Eureka, S.D., and founder of USA Today.
