Vandals deflate school bus tires in AlbanyALBANY, Minn. (AP) — Vandals caused a major disruption at Albany High School when they pulled an apparent end-of-the-school-year prank.
When school bus drivers arrived for work Thursday morning they found the air had been let out of the tires of buses.
As a result, school started two hours late, and some school trips had to be canceled.
Police Chief Jim Stueve (STEE'-vee) says the buses were outside because the roof of the bus garage had collapsed from heavy snow last winter.
Stueve says police have no leads. When word got around town about the vandalism, some residents arrived to help fill the tires with air and get the buses on their routes.
Friday is the last day of school for seniors at Albany.
