Two plead not guilty in Best Buy theft caseTwo men charged in connection with an alleged theft ring that police say netted $150,000 in goods from the Fargo Best Buy entered not guilty pleas Thursday in Cass County District Court.
Garrett Johnson and Sheiku Deen each face one felony count of theft.
They are accused of taking merchandise out of the electronics store and not paying for it.
Johnson was on the North Dakota State University football team before being dismissed earlier this spring.
Johnson and Deen are among a dozen people who face charges in connection with the alleged theft of goods from Best Buy.
The thefts were facilitated by two security guards at the store who let others take merchandise without paying, police say.
