The ticket matched all five white balls, but not the Megaball, to win the game’s second-tier prize. The ticket is the first big-winning Mega Millions ticket sold in North Dakota since the game was introduced on Jan. 31.
Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim a prize.
There are still three unclaimed winning Powerball tickets in North Dakota, each worth $200,000. Two of the winning tickets were sold in Fargo, while one was sold in Bismarck. The first of the winning tickets sold in Fargo, for the Jan. 9 draw, must be claimed at the lottery office by July 8 or the entire $200,000 prize will be transferred to the state’s general fund.
