$250,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in JamestownBISMARCK - A $250,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold at the County Market Fresh Foods in Jamestown from the drawing on Tuesday.
The ticket matched all five white balls, but not the Megaball, to win the game’s second tier prize. The ticket is the first big-winning Mega Millions ticket sold in North Dakota since the game was introduced on Jan. 31.
Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim a prize.
There are still three unclaimed winning Powerball tickets in North Dakota, each worth $200,000. Two of the winning tickets were sold in Fargo while one was sold in Bismarck. The first of the winning tickets sold in Fargo, for the Jan. 9 draw, must be claimed at the lottery office by July 8 or the entire $200,000 prize will be transferred to the state’s general fund.
