Bismarck call center to lay off 100 workers at end of JuneBISMARCK, N.D. -- Sykes Enterprises Inc. has notified the city of Bismarck it will lay off 100 local workers at the end of June.
City administrator Bill Wocken says Tampa, Fla.-based company gave the city notice of the layoffs last week.
He says the company will cut 100 jobs from its roughly 250-person work force because of contract losses.
A message left late Friday for a Sykes spokeswoman was not immediately returned.
Sykes closed its call center in Minot in March 2009. About 200 people lost their jobs.
Sykes provides technical support to other companies.
