North Dakota district judge died of lung diseaseJAMESTOWN, N.D. – The family of the late state District Judge James Bekken of New Rockford says he died of interstitial lung disease, or scarring of the lungs that can occur from infections or other causes.
The state Supreme Court earlier this week said the 61-year-old Bekken died Monday morning at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., but the court did not give a cause of death.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at First Lutheran Church in New Rockford.
