Moorhead Explorers excel at conference

Sixteen members of the Moorhead Police Explorer Post recently attended the Minnesota Law Enforcement Explorer Conference in Rochester, Minn., where they competed in 13 events.

The team took home first place in domestic crisis intervention, third in white-collar crime, and fourth in interview and interrogation.

The team of Brent Halverson, Tanner Tougas, Zach Johnson and Richard Somdahl placed fourth overall in the team firearm competition.

In individual competitions, Brent Halverson placed first in job interview and second in sample police exam and timed fire pistol shoot. Crystal Smith placed first in the two-mile run.
