WF expected to name new superintendent on Friday

WEST FARGO - West Fargo school officials will name a new superintendent on Friday.

The decision was initially slated for mid-May, but two out-of-state finalists requested the School Board push up the decision to give their districts time to find a replacement.

The three finalists – Hutchinson (Kan.) Superintendent David Flowers, Perham-Dent (Minn.) Superintendent Tamara Uselman and West Fargo Assistant Superintendent Louise Dardis – have met with principals, students, teachers and community members the past week.

Flowers meets today with the four groups and wraps up the process Friday with an 8 a.m. interview with the school board.

The board will then meet at 9:30 a.m. at the district office, the Leidal Education Center, to name Superintendent Dana Diesel Wallace’s successor.

She’s leaving the district on June 30 after a four-year tenure, citing “new opportunities.”
