Football: NDSU’s Paschall, Buckman sign NFL free agent contractsNorth Dakota State running back Pat Paschall and Keith Buckman, an offensive lineman who opened holes for him, have signed free agent contracts with two different NFL teams.
According to Bison assistant coach Tim Polasek, Paschall has signed with the New England Patriots. Paschall, a 6-foot, 198-pounder from St. Louis, rushed for 1,397 yards last season for the Bison.
After turning in a good performance at the NFL Combine, Paschall was rated the 25th best running back available according to the Web site NFLdraftscout.com.
According to his agent Matt Striegel, Buckman has signed with the New York Jets. Buckman, a 6-5,
325-pounder from Belfield, N.D., plays with the kind of intensity that offensive coordinators and offensive line coaches like, according to Striegel.
