No criminal charges expected in bar fight involving three Valley City State University football playersVALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — Barnes County prosecutors say no criminal charges will be filed in a bar fight in which a man says he was attacked by three Valley City State University football players.
The man was beaten and required ankle surgery after the April 7 incident.
The state's attorneys office says it cannot prove that a criminal offense occurred because surveillance video from the bar was recorded over.
Valley City State athletic director B.J. Pumroy said that with no charges filed, any punishment for the athletes involved in the incident would be handled internally.
