Harvey man sentenced in Clay County home invasionA Harvey, N.D., man was sentenced in Clay County District Court on Monday to two years and 10 months in prison for his role in a home invasion in Sabin, Minn.
With good behavior, Joseph Michael Weninger, 26, could be released after serving a year and 10 months.
Weninger earlier pleaded guilty to a kidnapping charge stemming from an incident on Sept. 23, 2009.
Weninger was one of two men charged in connection with a home invasion in Sabin in which a man was bound and tied to a chair.
The case against the other defendant, Jason Lee Roerick, also of Harvey, is pending in Clay County District.
Weninger’s Clay County sentence is to be served concurrently with time he is serving in North Dakota.
