Junior hockey: Fargo Force, Omaha Lancers players suspended

Three players have been suspended resulting from transgressions at the end of Saturday's USHL playoff game between the Omaha Lancers and Fargo Force.

Omaha's C.J. Ludwig received a three-game suspension for his hit on Fargo's Corey Leivermann that landed the Force forward in the hospital and drew an attempt to injure match penalty.

Fargo's Matt Leitner received a one-game suspension after receiving an unsportsmanlike conduct misconduct penalty, and then allegedly refusing to stay in the locker room.

Omaha's Ryan Daugherty received a one-game suspension for a spearing penalty.

The best-of-five series is set to continue with Game 3 at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday at Urban Plains Center.
