‘Take Back the Night’ slated in WahpetonWAHPETON, N.D. – The North Dakota State College of Science, in conjunction with the Three Rivers Crisis Center, has been selected as an official site of the 10 Points of Light to Take Back the Night initiative scheduled April 29 on the NDSCS campus.
Ten Points of Light refers to 10 college campuses around the nation that will host events to unify women, men and children in an awareness of sexual and domestic violence.
The event in Wahpeton will include a march, rally and guest speaker Linda Walker, mother of murder victim Dru Sjodin.
Other official 10 Points of Light to Take Back the Night locations are: Harvard University; Brown University, The Advocacy Center, New York; Rutgers University; Kent State University; University of Tampa (Fla.); University of Texas, El Paso; University of Kansas; and Lehman College, New York.
