‘Kids Are Our Business’ breakfast set April 21The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center “Kids Are Our Business” annual breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. April 21 at the Fargo Holiday Inn.
The program will include a story told by a parent whose life has been affected by the sexual assault of their child.
Tickets are $65, which is the approximate cost of one hour of counseling services available at the crisis center.
Dakota Medical Foundation is a silver sponsor of the event and will provide a $2,500 match beginning the day of the event through May 31.
In addition, the crisis center and Prairie St. John’s will sponsor Healthy Relationships Week for middle- and high school students beginning April 19. Activities focused on healthy relationships with an emphasis on respect, cell phone interactions and social networking will be offered to participating schools.
The Pinwheels for Peace display at Island Park in Fargo will be April 19-24. The display of 532 pinwheels represents the number of children helped at the crisis center in 2009.
