Flood 2009: Students return to classes

April 8 – Moorhead needed 500,000 more sandbags. Fargo figured it needed 400,000 more.

Sounded like a lot. But not when you considered volunteers had already filled more than 2 million so far, keeping the rivers mostly at bay.

In Fargo, there were more signs of life getting back to normal.

Oak Grove High School students returned to classes at Fargo South Campus II. It was an unfamiliar place, but it would be home for the rest of the school year.
