Former Minot Job Corps center resident sentenced for possessing child pornMINOT, N.D. (AP) — Another former resident of the Quentin Burdick Job Corps Center in Minot has been sentenced on a child pornography charge.
The U.S. attorney's office says the cases are not related, even though they both happened in April 2008.
Twenty-two-year old Christian Gonzales was sentenced this week to one year and one day in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.
Late last month, 21-year-old former center resident Kyle Beck was sentenced to serve three years and one month in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.
The U.S. attorney's office says that in both cases, the men had images on their laptops portraying the sexual exploitation of minors.
