Wisconsin forward verbally commits to NDSU men's basketballFor Wisconsin basketball standout Chris Kading, coming to North Dakota State will be like a homecoming.
Kading, whose parents Doug and Jane competed on the now-defunct NDSU swim teams, verbally committed to play basketball for the Bison for the 2011-12 season.
“I have some relatives on my mom’s side who live in Fargo so I’m excited for them to be able to see me play,” said Kading, a 6-foot-8 power forward who will be a senior at DePere (Wis.) High School next fall.
As a junior, Kading averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds for a 24-2 DePere team that reached the section finals this past season. Kading was ranked No. 7 among Wisconsin prospects in the class of 2011 by Wishoops.net.
