North Dakota gas price nears $3 averageFARGO - The average gas price in North Dakota moved another 12 cents higher during March and is now within 10 cents of hitting the $3 mark for the first time since October 2008, according to a release from AAA North Dakota.
The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $2.80. The North Dakota average is 10 cents higher at $2.90. One year ago the statewide average was $2.07, AAA’s daily fuel gauge report shows.
With oil prices currently trading above $82 per barrel and the unofficial beginning of the summer travel season still two months away, it is likely the $3 barrier will be tested during the next few weeks, AAA stated in its release.
March average gas prices were $2.78 in Cass County, $2.81 in Grand Forks County and $2.94 in Burleigh/Morton counties.
