Flood 2009: A daily retrospective
But this was no time to declare victory. Residents had to stay on high alert, even though fatigue was beginning to set in.
This flood wasn’t over. In fact, the National Weather Service was now forecasting a storm that could dump up to 8 inches of snow in the Wild Rice and Red river basins in the coming week.
That, and the snowmelt in the southern end of the Valley still had to make its way north.
