Former Minot Job Corps center resident sentenced for possessing child porn

BISMARCK (AP) — A former resident at the Quentin Burdick Job Corps Center in Minot has been sent to prison for possessing child pornography.

Acting U.S. Attorney Lynn Jordheim says 21-year-old Kyle Beck was sentenced to serve three years and one month in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.

Jordheim says a fellow center resident in April 2008 reported that Beck had child pornography on his laptop, and authorities later uncovered the images.
