ND GOP CONVENTION: Jaeger will be secretary of state candidate

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Al Jaeger was endorsed as the Republican candidate for North Dakota's secretary of state today by delegates at the state convention here.

Jaeger, secretary of state since 1992, was unopposed in his bid for the party endorsement. He's seeking a sixth term for the office that will be decided by voters this November.

Rep. Corey Mock, D-Grand Forks, is seeking Democrats' endorsement to run for secretary of state this year. Democrats will select candidates March 26-27 at their state convention in Fargo.
