Wildlife forced to backyards by flooding Red River

FARGO - Flooding along the Red River has forced wildlife to seek higher ground.

One resident, Cindy Gray, lives in north Fargo, and reported numerous deer in her backyard near Cardinal Muench Seminary.

"When the river floods, there are always a lot of deer and various birds that wander into the surrounding neighborhoods to find food and shelter," Gray said in an email to The Forum.

She counted 14 deer in her yard Saturday.
