Weekend Watch: Shrine Circus
Two things are drastically different about this year’s El Zagal Shrine Circus. The first, former “American Idol” contestant Sanjaya Malakar isn’t booked to sing at this year’s circus, as he did last year. The other is that the flood hasn’t delayed the circus’ roster of trained animals from coming to Fargo. Assuming the flood doesn’t change those plans, the family event’s dancing bears and elephants that do tricks should take over the Fargodome, 1800 University Drive, at 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m., 2 and 7 p.m Saturday; and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Some of the animals will also walk through downtown with a parade at 6 tonight. Advanced tickets are $11 for general admission and $14 for reserved, $13 and $16 for day of show. They can be purchased at the Fargodome box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Hornbacher’s, SunMart, Cashwise and Stop-N-Go stores.
