FLOOD UPDATE: Rural Cass residents invited to informational meetings to discuss flood protectionCass County Government will be hosting an informational meeting for
residents of Stanley Township tonight at Bennett Elementary School, 2000 58th Ave. S., in Fargo at 7 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform residents about Cass County's flood fighting plans in their neighborhoods. Stanley Township has many urbanized rural subdivisions, and will be the "home" for clay levee construction this week.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, a flood informational meeting will be held at the Harwood Community Center for rural residents north of the metro area. This includes Reed, Raymond, Berlin, Harwood, Wiser, Gardner, and Noble townships.
County officials from the Highway Department will be present to provide
sandbag and levee information. The sheriffs office will also be represented to discuss patrol efforts and rescue efforts for homeowners.
