Hubbard County accident injures twoCASS LAKE, Minn. – Two women were injured Saturday in a broadside accident on Highway 2 just west of here.
Shirley Jantzen, 56, was driving a 1998 Plymouth Neon eastbound on Highway 2 when she tried to turn left across the westbound lanes.
A westbound 2002 Ford Taurus struck Jantzen’s vehicle on the front passenger side.
Sharon Walker, 51, the passenger of the Taurus, was taken by ambulance to Bemidji’s North Country Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Jantzen was treated and released.
The driver of the Taurus, James Walker, 54, had no apparent injuries.
The drivers and passenger involved in the accident, all of Cass Lake, were wearing seatbelts.
