ND insurance commissioner revokes Minnesota agent's licenseBISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm has revoked the license of a Minnesota insurance agent who lost his license in that state.
Hamm says North Dakota law allows for the revocation of Minneapolis-area agent Michael Antonello's nonresident license based on the action taken in Minnesota. He also says Antonello "has shown himself to be extremely untrustworthy in working with insurance consumers."
Antonello says he negotiated a settlement with Minnesota officials under which he admitted to no wrongdoing and can reapply for his license in about another year. He also says the dispute involved insurance companies and not consumers, and he takes issue with Hamm's statement.
