Leonard receives grant for sewer system repairLEONARD, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Commerce, in conjunction with the Lake Agassiz Regional Planning Council, has awarded a $121,500 grant to the city of Leonard.
The grant will be used for the city’s emergency sewer system repair project. A sink hole that developed in December caused a collapse in a section of sewer main serving 40 homes and businesses.
Funds for the project come from the Community Development Block Grant program managed by the state Department of Commerce. The program provides financial assistance to eligible cities and counties in North Dakota for economic development projects, public facilities, planning and housing.
