Moorhead man gets 27 months in stabbing
A Moorhead who pleaded guilty to an assault charge in the Aug. 19 stabbing of his ex-roommate was sentenced Monday to more than two years in prison.
Ronald Jay Curley, 26, of 3017 Covent Gardens St., was given a 27-month term in the state prison at his sentencing hearing in Clay County District Court.
Curley pleaded guilty last month to a charge of second-degree assault in a plea deal. A second charge of assault was dismissed.
The 189 days he’s already spent in the Clay County Jail will be subtracted from his prison time. He also owes $1,249 in restitution to the victim, who was his roommate at the time.
