Bonnie Rehner receives professional honorClay County Recorder Bonnie Rehder has been named Outstanding Recorder of the Year for 2009 by the Minnesota County Recorders Association.
Rehder, who was cited for being a leader in technology, joined the Clay County recorder’s office in 1978 as a deputy recorder. She was elected to her first term as recorder in 1990.
In Clay County, the recorder is the custodian of all legal records pertaining to real estate, personal property records, tax liens, oaths and military discharge records. The recorder also acts as the local vital statistics registrar and a passport agent.
