Nelson County winter art auction set March 7PEKIN, N.D. – The Nelson County Art Council’s winter art auction will begin at 3 p.m. March 7 in the community center here.
Thirty-four pieces of artwork will take viewers and bidders from a whimsical gnome home to exquisite jewelry to the realistic painting of a songbird.
The event will include wine and hors d’oeuvres. Admission is $10 and reservations are not required.
Participating artists have donated their work to help the NCAC finance the Stump Lake Fine Arts Youth Camp. Those unable to attend the auction can place bids online. The online bids will be held in reserve, and the live auction will be conducted as usual.
Online bidders will be notified on March 8 if their bid was the highest placed on an art piece. To bid or view the artwork, visit www.pekinnd.com and follow the links.
