NDSU defeats Jackrabbits win wild, two-overtime affairBROOKINGS, S.D. -- North Dakota State and South Dakota State turned Saturday's men's basketball game into the wild, wild West. The Bison won 90-85 in two overtimes -- their eighth straight in the series.
Bison freshman Nate Zastrow tied it with a deep 3-pointer from the wing with five seconds remaining in regulation. It was part of a magic touch of a stretch for Zastrow, whose second free throw with 23 seconds left got somehow stuck between the backboard and rim.
The dead ball gave the ball to the Bison because of the possession arrow and NDSU eventually tied it.
Josh Vaughan tied the first overtime with a deep 3-pointer from on top with three seconds left.
