Farm propane program to continue in 2010The Propane Education and Research Council in Clay County will continue its Propane Farm Equipment Efficiency Demonstration program in 2010.
Launched last year, the Propane FEED program is a nationwide demonstration effort that offers a financial incentive to qualifying farmers to participate.
The program can save farmers up to $2,500 on select pieces of propane equipment such as irrigation engines, mowers and tankless water heaters.
The development and commercialization of new propane technology remains a strategic goal for PERC, and the demonstration of new technology through programs such as FEED is a key step in that process.
For more information about the program, call the Clay County Extension office at (218) 299-5020 or (800) 299-5020.
