Disregard for life is disgraceful

In response to the letter “It’s a clear case of attempted murder,” written by Chris Moore in the Jan. 26 issue of The Forum, I agree with Moore that the hit-and-run driver who struck veteran Justin Bohmer and left him for dead should “soul search.”

What has happened to taking responsibility for one’s actions? Where is the concern for our fellow man? No one has the right to play God with another human being’s life. I know the hit-and-run driver must be afraid, but coming forward and taking responsibility for his/her actions is the only way to put things right.

Bohmer has a right to justice. The driver has the obligation to apologize and face the consequences.
