NDSU UPDATE: Fargo businessman James Carlson "extremely serious" about seeking president's jobFARGO – Fargo businessman James Carlson says he is “extremely serious” about applying to be the next North Dakota State University president.
Carlson, 62, co-founded PRACS Institute in Fargo in 1983 as a clinical research facility that evaluates pharmaceutical products.
He sold PRACS three years ago and is now involved with various small businesses.
Carlson, who taught clinical pharmacy at NDSU for 10 years, said he thinks NDSU needs to get even more involved with the business community.
He plans to make a decision soon.
“At the moment, I’m leaning very heavily toward at least throwing my name in the ring for the committee to look at,” Carlson said.
