Icy roads contribute to crash near Battle LakeBATTLE LAKE, Minn. – Icy roads contributed to a two-vehicle crash near here about 10 p.m. Friday that sent two people to the hospital, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A vehicle driven by 16-year-old Daniel Hume of Henning was southbound on Highway 78 when it lost control and slid sideways, the patrol said.
The vehicle struck a northbound car driven by Craig Haukebo, 58, with passenger Gareld Morical, 61, both of Battle Lake, authorities said.
Hume and Morical were taken by ambulance to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, where they were treated and released.
Haukebo suffered minor injuries, the patrol said.
