Exotic dancer says Fargo man trapped her in bedroom, tried to rape her
Jerry Joseph Schweitzer faces a felony charge of attempted gross sexual imposition filed Thursday in Cass County District Court in connection with the alleged attack at his home at 505 Oak St. N.
When police questioned Schweitzer, court records show, he confirmed what the victim told officers and said he had planned out the entire encounter.
According to police reports, four pieces of rope were tied to the corners of the bed and four pre-cut pieces of clear packing tape were near the bed. The room’s doorknob had been flipped around so that it locked from the outside.
The dancer reported the incident to police at 11:12 p.m., saying Schweitzer – a customer who still owed her $150 from a prior dance – called her at 9:49 p.m. and asked her to come to his home. He promised to pay off the $150 past due and to pay up front in the future.
When she got there, he allegedly told her to go in to the bedroom and then followed her in and closed the door. When Schweitzer was asked for the money, she told police, he replied that, “We are going to play by my rules this time.”
After asking him to let her go three or four times, the dancer kicked down the bedroom door and crawled out, she told police. At one point, she said, Schweitzer – who weighs about 300 pounds, according to the police report – had her pinned between the broken door and a hallway wall.
Schweitzer made an initial appearance in court Thursday. His bail was set at $100,000 cash or bond. His next court date is set for Feb. 18.
