Woman killed in head-on collision between beet truck, pickup this morning in north Moorhead
The beet truck driver, 63-year-old Robert Poehls of Barnesville, Minn., was injured, but the extent of his injuries are unclear at this time, said Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Chuck Backes.
The woman pickup driver was traveling alone. Her identity likely won’t be released today.
Backes said the white Ford F-150 pickup was traveling southbound on Highway 75 and crossed over into the northbound lane. The beet truck driver tried to avoid the collision, but was unable.
Highway 75 is closed right now in the area of the accident.
Moorhead and Dilworth fire and police departments assisted the State Patrol, as well as the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
