Bismarck woman killed, three injured in rollover

The Minnesota State Patrol said a 40-year-old North Dakota woman was killed in a rollover accident Friday that also injured three passengers, including two young girls, on Interstate 94 between Barnesville and Rothsay.

The patrol identified the deceased woman as Kimberly Bettis of Bismarck.

Bettis was driving a 2005 Lexus westbound on I-94 about 6:45 a.m. Friday when it rolled into the median just west of the interchange at Highway 108, the patrol said in a news release.

Her passengers, 24-year-old Collette Calderson, 5-year-old Makya Samson and 2-year-old Alyiah Samson, all of Bismarck, were taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo with minor injuries. All three are related to Bettis, according to the patrol.

Road conditions were icy at the time.
