College basketball: Cobbers games to be televised on KVLY digital side channel on SaturdaySaturday’s Concordia men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader against St. Mary’s will be broadcast on a digital side channel of KVLY, found at 11.2 on over-the-air tuners.
The women’s game is set to start at 1 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 3 p.m. Concordia student Nate Rowan will do play-by-play for both games, while Mark Askerooth will provide color commentary for the women’s game. Chuck Gulsvig will provide color commentary for the men’s game.
The games will also be on Midcontinent on Channel 166. Sjoberg’s Cable, based out of Thief River Falls, Minn., will have the games on Channel 511. The games will also be on CSi Cable in Lisbon and Valley City on Channel 12.
“I’m very happy for them doing this,” said KVLY and KXJB General Manger Charley Johnson. “They are our early adapters. They are going to give us our first taste of how this will look.”
