Only Ethan Allen store in N.D. to close
FARGO - North Dakota is losing its only Ethan Allen furniture store.
The Ethan Allen store at 1429 42nd St. S. in Fargo is closing.
“Five associates are being impacted by this consolidation,” said November Rawlings, a company spokeswoman based in Danbury, Conn., in an e-mail.
Ethan Allen, Inc. has decided to consolidate the Fargo location into its Minneapolis location, according to an e-mail from Jean Weismann, Fargo Ethan Allen design team manager.
The store will be closed Thursday to prepare for a consolidation event, which will start Friday at 10 a.m., she said in the e-mail.
Weismann said further communication had to go through the Ethan Allen corporate office.
Rawlings said in an e-mailed statement that the company is “continuing to strengthen our international network of approximately 300 Design Centers.”
A Lifestyle Workshop planned for next Wednesday at the Fargo Ethan Allen store has been canceled.
