Court date scheduled for alleged stabber

The man accused of stabbing a Moorhead woman multiple times is scheduled to make his initial appearance Monday morning in Clay County Court.

Eloy Cantu, 32, of Dilworth is being held at the Clay County Jail on charges of attempted murder and second-degree assault.

Moorhead police found Constance Jackson, 43, at 5:15 a.m. Friday after being called to the 200 block of 16th Street South. Police said it was a domestic dispute.

A MeritCare Hospital spokeswoman said Saturday that she would not release any information about Jackson’s condition.

According to police, investigators were able to speak with her Friday.
