Suspect charged in Mayville robberyA Grand Forks, N.D., man has been charged in the Dec. 21 armed robbery of Aasen Drug in Mayville, N.D.
Kyle Pederson, 23, was charged in Traill County District Court with robbery, a Class B felony. Pederson already faces charges in robberies in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, Minn.
Traill County Sheriff Mike Crocker said authorities believe Pederson acted alone.
Pederson will make his initial Traill County court appearance at 10 a.m. Jan. 6, Crocker said.
Pederson was arrested and charged Dec. 23 with the Dec. 9 robbery of the Fairfield Inn in Grand Forks, the first of eight armed robberies of area businesses over two weeks. Pederson faces a Class B felony robbery charge in that case.
He was also charged with robbing Orton’s Point Tesoro in East Grand Forks, Minn., on Dec. 18. Judge Joel Medd of North Dakota District Court tabled an extradition to Polk County until a Feb. 10 hearing to allow Pederson more time to talk to an attorney.
He faces a felony charge of first-degree aggravated robbery for that case.
